However, the French Grand Prix made a comeback in 2018, hosted at the newly built Circuit Paul Ricard in Le Castellet, located in the south of France. This comeback was made possible by a combination of factors, including the involvement of the French government, the commitment of the local region, and the support of Formula 1.
